Abstract

Seismic inversion has become one of the most widely used technologies for reservoir prediction and also an important means of lithology and subtle reservoir exploration and development.By taking tight sandstone gas reservoirs of the 1st member of Lower Cretaceous Quantou Formation in a work area for example, the effects of the sparse spike inversion and geostatistical inversion in the thin sand body prediction were compared. In consideration of the characteristics of single layer thickness of sandstone(thickness of less than4 maccounted for 70%),on the basis of fine process of logging data, sparse spike inversion and geostatistical stochastic inversion were used for an inversion in the target layer.By comparing the results of two inversion processes,it is considered that the stochastic inversion has higher precision in the reservoir prediction, and it is suitable for predicting the sand with moderate depth and thin thickness, the inversion results are consistent well with the logging data, and better predicting results are obtained,it provides a foundation for the further exploration and development and reserves submission.
