Abstract
[Objective]To know the epidemiological characteristics of measles in Rencheng District to provide scientific foundation for the future work of controlling and eliminating the disease.[Methods]The approach of descriptive epidemiology was adopted to analyse the incidence of measles;ELISA was adopted in the serology diagnostic method.[Results]46 cases were confirmed among the total reported cases;the annual incidence of measles was 1.88/100 000. People of each age group ranging from 0 to 45 years old all took on the symptom of mesales, and people under 15 years old accounted for 63.04% of the total cases. The majority of patients were children and students;the season of the incidence peak was with a tendency of time ahead;the preschool children aged 0 to 7 and vaccinated for more than one time against the disease only accounted for 15.22% of the total cases.[Conclusion]In the control of measles, prioriety should be given to the improvement and maintaining of the high vaccination rate as well as high immune rate of measles vaccination,as well as the monitoring of measles.
