Abstract

In order to comprehend the effect of variable-volume condition on the performance of chiller, the chiller's thermal characteristics were contrasted studied under the condition of variable-volume and normal state.Through establishing the model of chiller, four optimized conditions, which were normal condition, variable volume of chiller water, variable volume of chiller and cooling water, variable volume of chiller and cooling water and fan, were contrasted and simulated. The results show that: under the variable chiller water and variable cooling water state, when the cooling tower running steady, the system saves energy most, and with 50% part time load rate,45.54% energy was saved comparing with the normal state,at the same time, the variety of the system parameters with variable conditions was detailed analyzed,it presents foundation and reference for variable-volume control strategy of chiller under part load of air-conditioning system.
