Abstract
This paper expounds the mechanism of long-short-pile composite foundation.Based on the analyses of the bearing capacity and settlement calculating methods concerning long-short-pile composite foundation,an optimization design is proposed.Moreover,some engineering cases are used to demonstrate its design calculation,construction technique,as well as treatment effects.The engineering practice indicates that long-short-pile composite foundation can make full use of the potentials of soil and long-and-short piles,thereby increasing the bearing capacity and reducing settlement of foundation.Accordingly,this design has broad application prospects.
