On Ding Ling's Urban Females Fictions

Most of Ding Ling's early works were written with urban background. Facing directly the existence of urban females with her boldness and sincerity, young Ding Ling wrote about their sexual desire, reason, loss and surmounting in their lives. Bravely and intently, she watched the hidden and unclear thoughts existing in female consciousness, tried to find out and encourage something persuing independence and freedom, which made her works become the earliest feminism fictions in China.
