Abstract

ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of open reduction and internal fixation for calcaneal fracture.MethodsSixteen cases of patients were treated with open reduction and Reconstruction plate fixation.most of them supplemented by autogenous bone grafting.ResultsSixteen patients were followed up from 7-36 months(18 months on average),Bohler angle was from 17.3° to 36.8°.The clinical results were evaluated according to Maryland Foot Score,excellent results achieved in 9 cases,good in 4,fair in 2,poor in 1,excellent and good rate was 81%.ConclusionsThe open reduction and internal fixation with calcaneal anatomical plate and is effective for fracture of calcaneus.
