Discussion on the Collection Development in College and University Library

Abstract

This paper firstly elaborates the significance of construction of university library collection,then discusses the main approaches of the construction of university library.Finally it points out that the university library should enhance its collection construction by establishing a long-term development plan and regulations,continuously optimizing the structure of the collection,strengthening digital construction as well as building the characteristic collection.
