Methodological Significance of the Semantic Meaning in the Study of the Chinese Grammar

Semantic meaning, while a very complicated subject, is key to the study of grammar. Looking at Chinese language grammar research, we find that scholars have paid increasing attention to semantic meaning, but it has not yet become a common concern among all those who research Chinese grammar. Unlike Indo European languages, the Chinese language is a semantic type language that lacks grammatical forms. This is the reason why semantic meaning has methodological significance in the study of the Chinese grammar.
