Abstract
This paper,from the perspective of investment management,elaborates the significance of engineering cost control in all process of a construction project and discusses the factors that will have influence on it so as to obtain good investment results.With the theory of value engineering and technical economy,the decision-making and design for a project investment as well as the emphases and difficulties of investment control in different stages of the construction are analyzed and thought about.It therefore points out the aspects that need a special attention and strengthening management for the engineering cost managers in their practical work.A proposal is prices in accordance with the market in the management and control of the engineering cost of a construction project.
