Abstract

The horizontal, vertical distribution was studied based on the data obtained by field observations from January to February,2007 in Southern Yellow Sea and East China Sea.The high concentration of silicate was found in the area which was influenced by Changjiang River. The main factors that affect the distribution of silicate were different water masses, especially Changjiang diluted water and Kuroshio water. The Kuroshio intermediate water was the main source of the silicate in the continental shelf of East China Sea.
