Evaluation of Cruise Ports’Tourism Competitiveness Based on Factor Analysis

Abstract

Cruise is booming as a new form of travelling worldwide at present.Though still in its infancy,cruise in China is experiencing a flourishing period,leading to increased demands for cruise ports.In the paper,an index system,evaluating a Cruise Port’s Tourism Competitiveness by using Factor Analysis,is established to quantify and assess fifteen port cities in coastal areas of China.The ranking of their competitiveness serves as an enlightenment to develop cruise ports tourism.
