Abstract
Objective Comparative study on curative effect and complication of grade Ⅳ nucleus cataract during phacoemulsification and implant intraocular lens by using burst and continuous mode phaco power, and investigating surgical techniques. Methods 97case 115 eyes were divided into two groups randomly,A group 52 patients(58 eyes)treated with phacoemulsification by using burst mode phaco power;B group 45 patients(57 eyes) patients treated with phacoemulsification by using continuous mode phaco power.Compared the uncorrected distant visual acuity(UCDVA) and complication of two groups after operation. Results The difference of values of UCDVA≥0.3 的was significantly different between the two groups on the third post-operative day(χ2= 14.685,P﹤0.05),The difference of values of posterior capsule rupture was not significantly different between the two groups during the operation(χ2=0.001,P﹥0.05),The difference of values of corneal edema was significantly different between the two groups on the third post-operative day(χ2=20.679,P﹤0.05).Conclusion Patients treated with phacoemulsification by using burst mode phaco power can get higher UCDVA and lower corneal edema than using continuous mode phaco power.Phacoemulsification by using burst mode phaco power is a safe and efficient method for grade Ⅳ hard-nucleus of cataract.
