Description of Three Species of the Genus Pratylenchus on Foliage Plant

Abstract

During 2006 to 2009,the survey of plant parasitic nematodes on ornamental plants in Shenzhen was conducted.The samples were collected from root and rhizosphere soil of ornamental plants,and extracted by the modified Baermann funnel.Three species of the Genus Pratylenchus from Philodendron erubescens cv.Green Emerald,Collinia elegans and Pritchardia gaudichaudii were identified: Pratylenchus coffeae Filipjev Schuurmans Stekhonven,1941,Pratylenchus loosi Loof,1960 and Pratylenchus neglectus(Rensch,1924)Filipjev Schuurmans Stekhoven,1941.Their morphological characters were described here.
