Abstract

In order to utilize nitrogen fertilizer reasonably, select and breed high nitrogen efficiency varieties.Selecting five local dominating winter wheat varieties(EM14,EM18,EM23,ZM9023,LM1)in the mound of northen Hubei province.Under high nitrogen application and no nitrogen application, the field experiment was conducted to study the difference of nitrogen efficiency of different varieties, also study the physiological mechanism by analysing yield characters and the content of chlorophyll, the nitrate reducatase activity in the leaf in five growing stage. The results showed that there were significant differences among the five varieties in the nitrogen efficiency.Nitrogen efficiency of LM1 was higher than the others.Compared to study the physiological mechanism of different varieties,it was found that the winter wheats of high nitrogen efficiency had high content of chlorophyll, nitrate reducatase activity and grain yield, the efficiency of the nitrogen of plants transporting to grain were higher.
