Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of drug combination on the kidney of rabbit assessed by color Doppler ultra- sound. Methods Forty New Zealand white rabbits were divided into 4 groups randomly,Gentamycin was injected intravenously at the dose of 160 mg/kg in the Gentamycin group.Levofloxacin was injected intravenously at the dose of 0.05mg/kg in the Levofloxacin group.Drug combination were injected intravenously in the drug combination group. Then the blood was collected for biochemical exam- ination 1h,2h,3h after injection, meanwhile the color Doppler ultrasound was performed to measure the renal size and the hemody- namic changes and observe the blood perfusion of the kidney.Results①Ultrasound appearances were as follows:the renal size of Gen- tamycin group was significantly larged and the echo of renal cortex was enhanced,The blood perfusion of the kidney decreased gradual- ly,RI,PI were increased, compared with the control group, there was significant difference,P0.05.The blood flow velocity of renal arteries in drug combination group was decreased gradually after 3h,RI,PI were increased, compared with the control group, there was significant difference,P0.05.②Blood biochemical measurement showed:the BUN and Cr level of the Gentamycin group were in- creased significantly compared with the control group,P0.05.compared with the control group, there was significant difference in the BUN and Cr level in drug combination group 3 h later,P0.05.Conclusion The acute renal failure(ARF)could be induced by Gentamycin, whereas drug combination could decrease the renal injury.Color Doppler ultrasound can be used to detect the renal size, the blood perfusion and the blood hemodynamic changes.
