The Intellectual Trend of Economy in KMT-controlled Area During Anti-Japanese War:From Planned Economy and Controlled Economy to Free Economy

Planned economy and controlled economy go against free economy.In the intellectu-al trend of China' s economy in 1930s and 1940s,there appeared a turning from much ad-vocated planned economy and controlled economy to much traditional free economy during Anti-Japanese War.Very inclusive is the much talked planned economy or controlled e-conomy,but it can roughly be that of Soviet Union,of Germany or of wartime type.Before the Anti-Japanese War,China' s economic development was much influenced by the Sovi-et and German type,which was characteristic of state-regulation with a focus on national defense.This mode was much hailed in the intellectual community at that time.When the Anglo-American free economy regained attention in 1943,the Soviet-German mode began to be suspected.Since quite a number of scholars backed up for state regulation in econo-my,there appeared a tit for tat controversy in the issue of planned economy,controlled economy and free economy.
