Abstract
In order to study the flow field of liquid steel inside mould and further improve slab quality by parameter optimization,the author,utilizing the mould of TISG VAI Slab Caster 4 as a model,carried out hydraulic model experiment to analyze mould flow field form,meniscus fluctuation,flow field impact depth and mould slag morphology.Simulation test showed that slab quality requirement could be met by reasonable mould flow field,stable slag layer and uniform shell thickness with existing parameter and nozzle dimension.
