Abstract

A novel method for computing object bistatic RCS based on FDTD method is dealt with,in which, the extrapolation result of steady state can be obtained from the FDTD computation of transient state by discrete Fourier transform. This method is not only convenient in engineering application, but also saves the computing time, and improves its computational precision.A novel technique based on 3DS Max for FDTD modeling is presented and applied to complex-object modeling in this paper, too. The visual FDTD modeling can be implemented with high precision and speed. The bistatic RCS of a PEC sphere and one complex object are computed, and the numerical results show that the method and the technique for FDTD modeling are feasible.
