Abstract
Glycerol monolaurate was compounded in the absence of solvent under the reaction of lauric acid and glycerol with Nafion-H as catalyst. The factors which affected the reaction was studied. The result showed that the optimum technical condition was the molar ratio(acid:glycerol) 1∶ 2.5,the temperature 190 ℃ for 2 h,the mass ratio of catalyst to lauric acid and glycerol 1.5%,in this case glycerol monolaurate was 64.1%.The catalyst could be reused dispense with any treatment, which was good for industrial applications.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
