Abstract

Since 1990s,particularly in 21st century, the Chinese literary thought of avant-garde has experienced a new remarkable turn, namely,to interpret avant-gardeness of literature in view ofrevolutionarinessandpoliticalness. This turn is worth noticing, because it concerns with re-evaluation of Chinese literature in 20th century, even with issue of development of Chinese literature. In western literature tradition, due to literary tradition that exerts its influence in an obscure way,the literature as a whole does not turn to otherwise, even though some of literary schools embrace politics. However,in a context in which thepoliticalnessis more important than theliterariness, the contemporary Chinese literature will again fall into a position of dependency of politics and revolution,if the revolutionarinessand politicalnesscompletely replace literary autonomy.
