The Interface Technology of the Parametric CAD System Based on AutoCAD

Abstract

Parametric CAD system, based on AutoCAD, has been widely applied in the customized application development in engineering design. ARX (AutoCAD Runtime Extension) is the common method in such a further developments for AutoCAD about R14, and the application programs developed in ARX have different interfaces from AutoCAD, which directly affect the practicability and user friendliness on the whole systems. The paper discusses some kinds of interface technologies between application program and AutoCAD,also introduces the implementing methods.
