Abstract

Psoriasis is a kind of common,chronic and recurrent skin disease.Retinoid has been successfully used in antipsoriatic therapy.This article mainly introduces the effectiveness and adverse effects of acitretin and tazarotene in treatment of the patients with psoriasis.Oral administration of acitretin is effective in treating pustular and erythrodermic psoriasis and is particularly effective when used in combination with phototherapy for moderate-to-severe plaque-type psoriasis.As the first topical receptor-selective retinoid,tazarotene has significant effectiveness in treatment of patients with ordinary psoriasis whatever in monotherapy or combined therapy.
