Evaluation on the surface water environmental quality of the Huai river basin in Anhui Province

Evaluation of existing water quality,analysis of pollution types and prediction of developing trend of water quality have been carried out in the paper.These are based on the assessment of routine monitor(2000-2006) about the surface water quality of the Huai river basin in Anhui Province.Water quality of this basin(2006) has been polluted lightly,with pollution factors of oil,NH3-N,BOD5 and CODMn.From 2000 to 2006,the surface water quality of the stem stream in and out the boundary had become better,while the tendency of the surface water quality in this basin is inconspicuous.Suggestions about water quality improvement for the Huai river basin have been proposed by authors.
