Abstract
Bamboo activated carbon was used to produce modification activated carbon by metal solution activation in different conditions.Study on the modification of activated carbon for adsorption of sulfides performance in diesel oil.The adsorbents were characterized by N2 adsorption,XRD and Boehm titration. The results showed that the introduction of metal on activated carbon caused an decreasing in surface area and pore volume. However,it significantly increased in the density of acidic group on activated carbon surface. The metal irons mainly existed in the form of Fe3+ and Ni2+.Desulfurization test results showed that Ni-Fe/HAC has best adsorption capacity among the prepared adsorbents and the breakthrough capacity can reach to 3.38 mg S/g when impregnated in ferric nitrate(0.3 mol/L) and nickel nitrate(0.2 mol/L) compound aqueous solution for about 12 h,dried at 300 ℃ for 6 h,then activated in nitrogen atmosphere at 500 ℃ for 3 h.The desulfurization rate of Ni-Fe/HAC can reached to 58% when adsorption time was 12 h under static adsorption experiment.
