Abstract
Objective To explore the current management strategy and effect of damage control surgery (DCS) for severe multi-trauma.Methods The clinical data of 108 cases with severe multi-trauma were analyzed retrospectively.Results Damage control operations were performed in all 108 patients.Except for 19 patients including 7 cases of developing hemorrhagic shock,6 cases of serve brain contusion,4 cases of hard controlling infection and 2 cases of multiple organ dysfunction failure(MODF),89 patients were cured with a cure rate of 82.4%.Conclusion It is a good treatment model for severe multi-trauma in accordance with DCS which was carried out by the team in charge of by senior surgeon in emergency department.
