Abstract
The composition of Yi Jing in Jiao Ran's poetic theory plays an important role not only in those of Tang Dynasty, but also in the Chinese history of the whole poetic theory. In his theory, Jiao Ran made a comprehensive discussion on poetry by using the mental state of Buddism, the imagery of Taoism, the Bi Xing of Confucianism. It has a far-reaching influence on the development of Yi Jing theory and literary creation of later generations.
