Abstract
This paper introduces three kind energy storage business models and different energy storage technologies including pumped-hydro storage, compressed air energy storage, super conducting magnetic energy storage, flow batteries, batteries, flywheels and thermal storage. Off-grid renewable energy storage system, esp. wind generator coupled with a energy storage system, has been analyzed in detail and this technology is regarded as suitable for remote area.
