Abstract
A new method has been found for the determination of iodine in common salt. The method is based on the oxidation-decoloration of methylene blue with iodate in a HCl medium. The maximum absorption of the product is at 667 nm.A linear relationship is established in the range of 0~1.2 μg/mL for iodine. The molar absorptivity is 1.1×105 L·mol-1·cm-1.The method has been used in determination of iodine in common salt with satisfactory results.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
