Abstract
Energy consumption decomposition is a commonly used method when considering factors affecting energy consumption and energy efficiency.The paper introduces a relatively reasonable decomposition method logarithmic mean Divisia index(LMDI),decomposes energy consumption employing LMDI method and tries to find the impact of industrial structural change and increase of energy consumption efficiency on the total energy consumption and energy consumption per unit of GDP.According to the computation,the authors find that increase in energy efficiency within industry is the more important to improve energy consumption efficiency,and furthermore the establishment of system of energy decomposition indices as the basis for policy making.
