Abstract

B-spline surface was used in the body modeling of reverse engineering, quadrilateral surface model that can be recognized by CAD was constructed, and sequence and smoothly merged surface was realized. As a study case, the body surface of the car was protracted by this technique. It is significant in improving the precision of NC machining for free surface of motor vehicles.
