Abstract
On the basis of three dimensional viscous numerical simulation on the internal flow field in the vaned diffuser of a centrifugal compressor, the influence of shaper parameters on the pneumatic performance in low solidity vaned diffuser is compared. The results show that there are optimal values of the solidity and thickness for low solidity vaned diffuser,in which case, the pressure recovery is maximal and the loss is low.The results can play as a guide for design.
