Abstract

Yan Yu's idea——applying Buddhism to poetry deals with the methods of learning,artistic appreciation,thinking modes,ontology of poetry.According to him,Zheng fa yan corresponds to cultivation of appreciation of poetry,enlightenment to the poetic thinking mode,and feeling and emotion to ontology of poetry.His applying Buddhism to poetry is an inheritance of predecessors,and has promoted Chinese poetics to a higher level.
