Method of developing the 2D and 3D parametrization drawing database for stamping die standard-parts

Using AutoCAD2004 as developmental platform and Access as DBMS,the paper discusses how to build a 2D and 3D parametrization drawing database for stamping die standard-parts by the secondary developing tool VBA and describes the key points with a typical example. The paper also introduces the assembling method of 3D stamping die frame and typical structure of 3D stamping die and studies the animation showing technique for typical structure of 3D die.
