Abstract
Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(POSS) based hybrid materials have excellent properties and comprehensive applications. The structure and property as well as synthesis of POSS monomers and their derivatives are described. The potential applications of POSS-polymers span high-tech areas such as aeronautics, astronautics, biology, and microelectrics. The existing problems in the study on hybrid POSS-polymers system in our country are discussed.
