Abstract
The polarographic behavior of 2,2′,4,4′-tetrahydroxybenziphenone(BP-2) in various buffer systems was systematically studied by linear sweep polarography. Results showed that the second order derivative peak potential of BP-2 in 2.5 mol/L sulfuric acid buffer solution is-1.06 V(vs SCE).When the concentration of BP-2 is within the range of 5.0×10-6 mol/L~3.0×10-5 mol/L,there is good linearity between concentration of BP-2 vs peak current. The linear regression equation is ip″(nA/s2)=19 096.79+745.75×lg c(mol/L).The correlation coefficient is 0.993 6.Plots of differential cyclic voltammetry show that the polarographic wave belongs to irreversible reductive wave.
