Abstract

In this essay, the author discusses the essence of documentary of TV, which contains two parts: The first is the function of record; real record in documentary art of the TV is a course of checking up and sorting out the source material. It is also the result that the record subject interests the record target. The second is the function of revealing: The record is a style, and it is that the creator observes and ponders the subject in order to realize the emotional communication with audience. If the documentary style of TV pursues a kind of ideology, it will make the creation reach the appreciative level.
