Abstract

Objective—To discuss literati's sports hobbies in the Tang Dynasty and reveal their influence and enlightenment.Methods—Taking the literati in the Tang Dynasty as research object,literature review and research methods are adopted.Results—Not only are the literati in the Tang Dynasty good at both poetry and sports,but also some of them have outstanding sports skills,and their physical activities are unique in ancient Chinese society.Conclusion—The literati in the Tang Dynasty participate in physical activities,join the army and travel in all parts of China.They reflect the pioneering and enterprising spirit of the age and become the model that shall be followed by Contemporary intellectuals.
