Applying DMAIC for idle time reduction of production lines

Abstract
Based on the define—measure—analyze—improve—control(DMAIC) method,a statistical measurement on idle time of production lines is primarily employed to speculate the reasons for production line idleness.Subsequently,the metrics on categorization and improvement are proposed.Consequently,the improved results are finalized to promote the enterprises' production capacity.
