Abstract

The effect of 3 nitrogen application amounts(120,225 and 330 kg/ha) on the population development,grain filling properties and yield of strong-gluten variety Xinong 979 and weak-gluten variety Zhengmai 004 was studied under field conditions.The results indicated that the total stem number of the two varieties all showed the trend: 330 kg/ha225 kg/ha120 kg/ha at different growth stage,and the difference was significant between treatment 120 kg/ha ans 330 kg/ha(P0.05).The spike rate was 225 kg/ha120 kg/ha330 kg/ha,and the difference between 225 kg/ha and 330 kg/ha was significant(P0.05).The grain dry weight increased with the proceeding of time.Under different amounts of nitrogen application,the dry weight of grains showed 120 kg/ha330 kg/ha225 kg/ha for Xinong 979 and 120 kg/ha225 kg/ha330 kg/ha for Zhengmai 004.The grain yield of Xinong 979 and Zhengmai 004 all showed as 330 kg/ha225 kg/ha120 kg/ha,and the difference between the two treatments of 330 kg/ha and 120 kg/ha was significant for each variety.
