Abstract
Objective To detect the mechanic impacts and changes of urin arsenic and blood arsenic levels in sub-acute arsenic poisoning rat,treating the rats with the plant preparation for excreting arsenic.Methods 40 rats were randomly divided into the normal group,the low-dose group,the high-dose group and the model group,10 rats per group.The low-dose group,the high-dose group and the model group were given intraperitoneal injections of sodium arsenite solution(As 2 mg/kg)4 weeks,5 sequential days per week.The low-dose group and the high-dose group were fed with the plant preparation in the 4 weeks of arsenic administration and the next 2 weeks.Rats were daily detected for possible poisoning symptoms.Body weight were noted,arsenic levels of urin 6 hours after feeding were examined every weekend.At the end of week 2,week 4 and week 6,blood arsenic levels were examined.At the end of week 6,hemoglobin(Hb),creatinine(Cr),urea nitrogen(BUN)and ALT were examined,organ coefficients of liver and kidney were determined as well.Results A rising of blood arsenic level in the administration groups was detected in the first 4 weeks,and the model group with a higher rising.After week 4,blood arsenic levels in the administration groups dropped down,and the model group with a lower dropping than the others,in which a statistical difference was found between the high-dose group and the model group(P0.05).The urin arsenic level of the high-dose group was higher than the low-dose group and the model group,which with a statistical difference at the end of week 4(P0.01).No significant changes of Hb,Cr,BUN and ALT as well as the organ coefficients of liver and kidney were found.Conclusion The plant preparation for excreting arsenic promotes the excretion of arsenic.On the condition of the sub-acute low-dose arsenic administration,no obvious damages of rat body is found,it may be in favor of the observation of the excretion of arsenic.
