The oil and gas resources are rich in our country.As the second largest oil producing area,the area surrounding Bohai Sea plays a decisive role in the development of oil and gas resources.After 40 years of development,the oil and gas exploration in the Bohai region gained brilliant success,and the region has become an important oil producing area.This paper analyzes the distribution of oil and gas in the area surrounding Bohai Sea,expatiates the development of seismic exploration technique in the past several decades and the great achievement in this area by the promotion of new techniques.The article also initially researches the vital role of seismic technique in the oilfield development To meet the demands of oil and gas resources,it is necessary to full use the seismic technique to promote the sustainable development of oil and gas exploration.
