The Function of Culture in the Construction of Socialism -Analysing Lenin's Culture Confusion in His Late Days

This paper stresses the great importance of factors in avoiding the problem of Karltine Gorge of capitalism and reveals Lenin's thoughts of the culture in his late days, on the basis of Marx and Engels' theories of how backward countries can avoid such a problem. Lenin found a way to the socialism for Russia which was backward both in economy and culture at that time. Indeed, the undeveloped culture in Russia then became a serious hindrance for persisting in the socialist system and Lenin's worries as well. Lenin's thoughts of cultural revolution reflected his political sensitivity towards the factors. They are definitely instructive to China as a promising country developing very quickly towards the modernization and a knowledge society.
