Abstract

Flocculant has been widely used in water treatment, and it can remove pollutants by mechanisms of compressing double electric layer,adsorption electrical neutralization,adsorption bridging, sediment trap and so on. Polysilicate flocculant is a new type of composite inorganic polymer flocculant, it is more excellent than traditional inorganic flocculants, and cheaper than the organic polymer flocculants.In this paper, research progress in polysilicate flocculants was introduced, and the development trend of the polysilicate flocculants were analyzed.
