Abstract
The catalyst bismuth phosphotungstate was prepared and characterized by XRD and TGA,then its catalytic performance was evaluated with the esterification of n-butanol and acetic acid. The effect of different phosphotungstates, molar ratio of acid to alcohol, the catalyst amount and reaction time on catalytic performance were investigated. The experiment results show that the yield of esterification can reach 92.4% under the following conditions:molar ratio of acid to alcohol 1:1.5,catalysts amount 8wt%(based on acetic acid),reaction time 45 min under reflux.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
