Abstract

Diphenyl Sulfoxide (DPhSO),Di-n-amyl Sulfoxide (DASO),Tetraphenylborate (TMSO) complexes of terbium have been prepared and studied.Solid fluorescence of terbium complexes is measured at room temperature. The fluorescence results of terbium complexes show that sulfoxides can absorb energy and turn terbium into terbium ions. The symmetric condition of ligand anions in the terbium (Ⅲ) complexes also exerts an influence on the complexes fluorescence intensity.
