Effect of Gengnian Pingtiao liquid on expression of Bcl-2 and Bax in myocardial cell of rats with climacteric

Abstract
[Objective] To explore of protective effects of Gengnian Pingtiao liquid on myocardial cell of rats with Climacteric.[Methods] The 20 SD rats of 11 to 15 months old with the natural climacteric were randomly divided into two groups: Gengnian Pingtiao liquid group(group P),menopause control group(group M).Another 10 SD rats,4~6 month old were taken for young control group(group Y).After experiment for 45 days,the average optical density(OD) and the rate of positive area of expression of Bcl-2 and Bax were analyzed by image analysis with HPIAS-2000 analysis system.[Results] The expression of Bcl-2 in group P was significantly higher than that in group M(P0.01).No significant difference of expression of Bcl-2 was found between the group P and that in group Y(P0.05).The expression of Bax in group P was significantly lower than that in group M(P0.01).No significant difference was found in the expression of Bax between group P and that in group Y(P0.05).[Conclusion] Gengnian Pingtiao liquid can inhibit the myocardial cell apoptosis and plays an important protective role for myocardial cell.
