Brief Account of Great General in Qing Dynasty

Abstract

Great General is a name of military leader in war time in Qing Dynasty.During 215 years from August of the third year of Congde Reign to September of the ninth year of Xianfeng Reign,there had been 54 men,61times acting as the position of Great General,whereas after the forth year of Xianfeng Reign there had been no one taking the position.The paper manages to relate the commitment system of Great General in Qing Dynasty,sort out the name list of them,and discuss the historical role of them in Qing Dynasty.
