Abstract

The dynamic finite element method for dynamic analysis offlexible rotor system used in mechanical system is presentedin the paper. The concept of dynamic constraint mode functionfor element of d rotor system is introduced and it is used toform the dynamic shape function matrixes of each order forthe finite element. Dynamic displacement and stress responsein passing through critical speed of flexible rotor system canbe calculated exactly. accuracy of calculating critical speed maybe improved by use of the dynamic finite element method
