Abstract
This paper designs and implements a kind of Oracle database's remote backup and recovery system which based on C/S architecture. The client deployed on production server transmits backup data to remote backup server so data backup is implemented.By downloading backup data from backup server and recovering on production server data recovery is also implemented. The transmission mechanism of data backup process is improved by segmented backup and putting transmission ahead of completion of data backup.Experiments indicate this system implements core functions such as backup and recovery. Meanwhile, the transfer efficiency increases and the total time of remote backup reduces.
