The Utilization of Bagasse and the Research on Dense Shaping

Bagasse is a major by-product of sugarcane in sugar industry and a sustainable biomass resource.It is estimated that there are 6~6.5 million tons of bagasse remained to be fully utilized in the sugar companies in China each year.The integrated use of bagasse to replace fuel wood to develop green circular economy is becoming an urgent research topic.This paper intends to propose a bagasse-based biomass curing molding technology process.After compression molding,bagasse’s density,durability and burning characteristics have qualitatively improved.This would greatly enhance the taste of sugarcane bagasse,and it is easy to transport,store and apply.This process would enlarge the new use of bagasse in biomass.
